"Stayed purely to catch an early train the next morning, but the hotel was fine for that. It's dated but clean, and the staff were great. Bar good enough for a quiet drink. Definitely get what you pay for, overall."

Check in was great with a very helpful member of staff, full of information about the hotel and different dining styles. We had a great night in a comfortable room, well appointed. Our only problem was that the breakfast service was very slow. I understand that the service was very busy but from arrival to redelivery of our breakfast was over 3/4 of an hour, and some people who arrived after us were served before us. I guess that we were forgotten and staff thought that someone else was looking after us. When the breakfast did arrive it was very good. Sadly, the delayed service marred what would otherwise have been a great stay. If we return to the area we would saty again but try to ensure a speedier service for our breakfast."
