"Overall the hotel was clean and comfortable. We felt that they were short staffed in the evenings. We ate in the hotel restaurant on our first evening and it was disappointing. Our first 3 choices of starter (out of 8 on the menu) were not available. The mains took almost an hour to arrive and when they did, none of our 4 meals was hot. The best was lukewarm but we were too tired and hungry to send anything back. Only 2 staff covering the bar and restaurant was not enough, and we had to queue...

"Nice spacious and very clean room. Well facilitated with a tea tray and bottles of water. Room was immensely hot but thankfully able to open all the windows. Liked fresh cooked breakfast (as opposed to usual buffets) however I would love to see a better drinkable coffee being served and a little gripe - after requesting hard poached egg with no ‘snot’ my egg was totally snotty when I cut it and ran into my breakfast so didn’t eat much. "Very nicely situated in a quiet village area 3miles from the town centre. Large car park at the rear and easy access to a bus service outside. Clean pub and rooms of a reasonable quality. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Well priced."
