"The food was excellent both at the pub/ restaurant and cafe and the staff were friendly. We have travelled a lot and I’ve never felt so mis-led about a property. The hotel has no access to the lake or the lovely grass yard in front of it. It is almost completely enclosed by a 6ft high fence with “no access” signs all over it that are pretty much what you are looking at. Also, there was no fridge or coffee maker (even tho they roast coffee on site!) in our room and the little store and cafe...

"This is a little gem! Convenient to all of our excursions . The bed was heaven! Great pillows! A fan was provided. Bathrooms were clean with good smelling products. I like that our room had a separate toilet room from shower room. There were plenty of places to store luggage, clothes, etc. They provide earplugs in case it gets too loud downstairs, but we didn’t really need them. "The George was brilliant. We were travelling to Islay and it was intended as a stop off. We loved it! From the moment of our arrival, welcome from the staff was great, rooms lovely and bar / restaurant excellent. Food was superb. I can only recommend it to anyone travelling in that area."
