"Good location - easy walk to the loch and a restaurant next door. Room felt a bit dated and shabby - there were no luggage racks, the window wouldn’t open, the main light didn’t work. Staff were efficient and friendly. Fine for one night. Note: you need to put your room key in a wall slot to get electricity in the room."

"They never cleaned my room once and I was there for 7 days....I had to go ask for toilet paper and towels........some staff were nice others rather curt....I found the food awful only ate there 3 times that was enough for me did not like the fact you had to go up to the bar order food pay for before I sat down...........Now I have left a necklace there by mistake I have phoned my cousin in the same town and asked her to check with them in room 108 we will see if it has been had back to the...

"Dated and basic accommodation but reflected in the cost. Room was a bit dusty and plugs for devices were not easy to get to. Could do with a security chain on the door in addition to the lock. Everything else worked well and good value if you just need somewhere to put your head down for the night."

"The room was clean and bed comfortable. Nice decor in the room. Evening meal food was excellent. Breakfast was disappointing, not cooked to the same standard of the evening food. Dog friendly. Huge carpark. Fabulous position with views over the bay. Just be aware its a mile past the centre of Helensburgh and it's a lovely walk into town."

"Everything was great at The Oak Tree Inn! Staff were wonderful (especially Kay) so friendly and welcoming! The pub was so nice with a cozy fire. Our food and drinks were great. Our room had a great view of the water and the sunset."

"Nice lodging close to Loch Ness with an on-site restaurant. Rooms are small and somewhat spartan, but the bed was comfortable and the food was good. A hairdryer was provided, but with UK electric codes not permitting outlets in bathrooms, it was difficult to find a location in the bedroom with a view of a mirror to dry my hair. I wish more UK hotels would consider this oversight!"

"My favourite part of the stay was the location. Super close to literally everything - train station, bus station, city centre, the riverside, everything's walkable and easy to get to..."

"This was a fantastic place to relax, although a little dated the room was spotless and comfortable. The staff were marvellous and nothing was too much trouble. We didn’t have breakfast but had lunch and dinner a few times, the food was delicious, especially the fish specials, they are definitely worth a try. You can sit outside in the evening and really enjoy the sea air, love this part of the world and the seal beach which is a short distance from the hotel."
