"The hotel is situated in a fantastic location with great views, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about what guests expect and they deliver with ease, the rooms are unique and comfortable which complement the amazing views The car park is ample and safe for hotel guests and for restaurant diners our continental breakfast was great and accompanied by a barista coffee, well worth the visit and looking forward to visiting again "

"Check-in and check-out were very smooth. The room was spotless and the amenities were excellent, including the well-stocked small fridge with food and snacks. The weather was exceptionally cold during our stay, and unfortunately the small heater wasn’t quite enough to keep the room comfortably warm."

"A truly delightful hotel in a convenient location with excellent staff and facilities. Impossible to fault overall - 2 tips… dont park under the trees in front of the building. I dont know what the birds eat, but they eat A LOT of it. Then theres steps….pack light, you’ll be hauling your luggage up a LOT of steps :-) - its a 13th century manor house, lifts werent a “thing” !"

"A lovely venue in the countryside where we stayed for a music event. Very nice spacious and clean room with a very comfortable bed. Was just missing hangers in the wardrobe. Would have been nice to have EV charging available."

If the hadn't tried to sit me facing a wall in a corner as a single guest, the rooms had aircon and better sound installation between them then this would have be 5 stars. Gripes aside I will most likely stay there again if I am visiting the same customer nearby."

"I booked a driving experience for my partner’s birthday back in January and we deliberately waited until summer to make a weekend of it. This review is about the hotel rather than the driving experience. A few things future guests should know: you can’t cast your phone to the TV and there are no streaming services such as Netflix, so maybe bring a Fire Stick. There are no robes or slippers provided. "Our stay at the Lion was excellent. The only complaint was that the door to our room wouldn't lock, but other than that everything was great. I would definitely stay there again. Great location for shopping at Bicester Village and a short drive to Bleinheim Palace. "

"We arrived quite late for just one night. The check in was simple and staff were very polite, friendly and welcoming. We had food with us and the fridge in the room was a great addition. Plates, cutlery, glasses all in the room, in addition to tea and coffee for the morning. We had a family room and both rooms were super clean and comfortable. The location was quiet and so our sleep was not disturbed. Would be happy to return should we be back in the area. We didn’t use the bar or restaurant...
