"What a terrific spot! The bar was comfy, and cosy; the room clean, and tastefully decorated with a comfy bed, and wonderful view of the viaduct and Whernside. And, the fish & chips - exceptional! For us, the staff made our stay, Will, Courtney, Angela, & Val, couldn't do enough for us, despite a very busy bank holiday weekend. Thank you, we had a great evening and a cracking breakfast to boot."

"I liked so much of it. Draw back for me as a 62 yr old woman travelling alone was the dining experience. Both at dinner and breakfast I was put in the middle of the room where I felt vulnerable. I did say something but they said it was what they had available. I did book a month or two ago so this wasn’t a last minute thing. "Very good breakfast. Staff very helpful, friendly and polite. Good location and room, but lacking in a few basics found in other places, e.g. tissues,biscuits, safe, iron. Good value though and worth staying in. Recommend access from A6. Poor TV reception, no doubt due to location but presumably could be boosted."
