"From the outside the buildings look lovely, the room was very spacious but very dated (furniture, bed, tiles, shower etc) its clear that some work is being done to the hotel.
Check in was simple and our keys were in a lock box (fab idea)
The room had everything, kettle, cups, ironing board, iron, trouser press, heater, fan, hairdryer. Plenty of parking, close to the train station.
Breakfast was included in the price, it was continental but you could order hot food for an extra cost. The staff...

"The staff were very helpful and the room was spacious with comfortable beds.
The heating system in the lobby/sitting room area was pretty noisy. Needs some attention.
The dining area was pleasant with a reasonable breakfast. A bit of sourdough bread wouldn't have gone amiss.
I loved the garden with its beautiful trees and can see it would be a good wedding venue."

"Really poor service from the reception team. We were charged for the room again at check out because she didn’t speak to us before charging to a card. It wasn’t even the card used to book but one used to pay for breakfast.
We were then told that she couldn’t fix it and WE had to email guest relations. We did and the guest relations sent an email back saying accounts will refund us IF the charge was taken twice in 3-7 days.
Accidents happen but this has been dealt with incredibly poorly and...
