"Beware, The Brooks Motel is a misrepresented, virtual-only motel that doesn't warn it has no front desk or in-person check-in. This concept only works if the tech and the people behind it work, They didn'.  Upon arrival, I had to call, what sounded like, an overseas call center, find a random Expedia email, and fill out an online form. Then I waited 15 minutes for a room code that never arrived. After calling back, the agent's emails failed to reach my email, so she had to text me the info....

"Breakfast was meager"

"This is a large inn in a remote rural area. I spent three nights in the inn. My biggest complaint is the food service. There’s a restaurant affiliated to the Inn. The food options are very limited. I ordered six chicken wings and found out inside the wing is cold and the wind is not even fully cooked. It took them some time for the replacement. This time they did it right."

"This hotel presents actual and serious health hazards. As we tried to follow the unhelpful directions to room 230 offered by an impatient clerk, we approached a crumbling cement stairwell where a huge pile of vomit was gathering flies. A foot away, a broken shopping cart filled with garbage, including a hauntingly broken infant carseat, blocked the passage. We stepped around these, following the non-consecutively numbered doors - each covered with layers of greasy dirt and trash underfoot. ...

"Motel is fine for a 1 or 2 star motel. It is clean and has good comfortable beds. The room was tiny. The bathroom was tiny. Barely can fit two people. Otherwise it is fine. Again you need to know that this is super basic motel and the rating is based on that. Don’t expect a nice accommodation when renting it. Fine for a 1 night stay but I wouldnt stay there for longer. It has AC but it is a bit loud and blows right at the bed. Need to cover it with a towel if you don’t want to get cold air blown...

Issues: - Room was damp and had strange odor. - The small college fridge also had a strange smell to it. - Found small bugs and centipedes on Bathroom floor. - Several noticeable mouse/rodent traps were on floor in bathroom and bedroom. - Pool was closed. (Not disclosed). The Pool Cover was still on the pool and the pool deck/area was overgrown with weeds (so it’s been closed for a while) - Mattresses on the beds were uncomfortable. - Ice machine in office...

"Great property. It is a contactless check in so make sure to read the messages sent by the property. Rooms are spacious and very nice. Wonderful restaurant on site, North Star, with great staff and awesome bartender. Stayed for a NASCAR race at Lime Rock Park and will definitely come back."

"This is an older property, so if you are looking for luxury this is not for you. It is clean, has working a/c, shower, TV , microwave, coffee maker and a bed. It has a beautiful pool area, although we did not use it. We just need a clean, safe place to sleep and shower. We stayed her last year as well, for Follow the Arrow Festival. Ther is a great restaurant next door."

"Steven’s House (a Red Lion Annex across the street) is very “tired”. Exterior has severe wear with peeling paint and unkempt yard. Interior is much the same with wallpaper peeling in bathroom, a broken ice machine in the common area. The cleanliness is below expected for the price paid ( same as main hotel). Wooden railing to second floor is not really ideal with splinter potential from rough surfaces. Overgrown bushes as you exit dirt parking area are a terrible hazard as you cannot see...

"Okay place to spend a night but don’t expect any service. This place uses remote “staff” to run the joint. I called the “desk” around 6:30 pm with a request. Got a call back around noon the next day, when we were well on our way. No soaps, no shower cap. Only plus was an urn of good coffee in the otherwise empty lobby. Not much for $160 or so."
