I really enjoyed my stay. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed, and the staff was very helpful and kind. The hotel lobby is very cute and has fun souvenirs for purchase. I especially love that they have free laundry service and will deliver a delicious breakfast (one of the best meals I had during my 3 weeks in SE Asia, honestly) to your room for $150k. I definitely recommend!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Lantern Hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. We appreciated free laundry and iced tea available in the lobby. The hotel is across from a park where locals congregate, especially in the morning for exercise. We found multiple vegetarian restaurants close by and the Ben Thanh Market is within easy walking distance. What made our stay truly memorable was the staff’s thoughtful birthday card to me! What an amazing and wonderful surprise. Thank you!

The room is very simple, and the bathroom is outdated, however, it is a budget hotel so you get what you pay for. One big down side of the room is the noise from the street. you can hear the cars and even people talking since the room faces the back alley. On the other side, the staffs are very friendly and helpful.

We loved the hospitality the staff provided. The daily room service made our stay very comfortable. The water pressure is fantastic. We felt fortunate to have selected the Lantern Hotel as our week long stay given the family friendly location and staff. The neighborhood coffee shops and park were ideal. Complementary teas were a perk. Our room was on the backside of the property and it was pretty quiet and restful given the location. We utilized the complimentary laundry daily. The wifi worked well and the property felt clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel, meets expectations. The hotel has the washlet which I used to use when traveled in Japan and I like it very much. We loved the way this hotel takes care us anytime, from welcome to check out. The staffs asked everything about services if they good or not to improve in the future. Well, everything perfect, exceeded my expectations.

I chose this hotel because I was impressed by the picture profile. Not too sparkling but looks cozy. And luckily everything were the same they advertised. To talk about the hotel, although the hotel is not big, it will contain all the services you need and the room for me is quite great and clean. Unfortunately my hand was hurts in minor incident before so in think the door in the lobby is a little heavy with me. But it's so lovely that the staff always tried to help me open it even though I think i could have done it by myself. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back many more times.

Best value for your dollars at this hotel. This is probably a 3.5 star hotel at best, but the hospitality and staff are 100 stars!!! I've stayed at 3 to 5 star hotels around the world and they are one of the best I've ever received. This is a Japanese style hotel and they offer Japanese style service here. Everyone there is amazing! One staff member stands out, Thu Ngan. She is the sweetest, nicest person ever! This hotel is very clean and within walking distance to the Ben Thanh Market and Bui Vien Walking street. They are also close to highly recommended banh mi and pho restaurants. Everything is within a 10 minute walk. And if you're going further out, Grab service (their version of Uber) is ridiculously cheap. It cost me $5 USD to get from the airport to this hotel (45 minute drive) I am not exaggerating. I've read other reviews about this hotel and one negative aspect I see in other reviews are that this hotel is "outdated". This is simply not the case. Everything is pretty up to date. The only thing is the shower does look a bit worn, but it's very clean and they offer shower slippers. It does lack a safe, but with this staff, I felt very comfortable not needing one. If you're looking for a hotel in the area, I highly recommend this one, especially if you're on a budget.
