"Of all the places we stayed on this trip, this was our family's favorite. The space was perfect for a family of four and we loved that the room got a lot of sunshine. We also appreciated the rooftop space for hanging out between excursions as well as for our morning cup of coffee. The lobby was also a great place to hang and it had a nice espresso machine and a place to cook simple meals. We made use of the easy to operate coin laundry which allowed us to bring less clothes to free up space for...

"The things we enjoyed most about 22 Pieces was the size and design of the room and the helpful, friendly and efficient staff. We stayed in a terrace room which, complete with outdoor area, was very spacious for a family of 4. Also loved the modern design aesthetic of the room. Staff were excellent. A good location for first time Kyoto visitors doing the tourist sights but quite a long way from good restaurants and bars. Surrounding gardens are in need of some attention."

"It was initially hard to find, but that made it quiet. The staff was nice but the housekeeping really stood out. They were really on the ball and friendly. The rooms were dark, which is okay as we needed sleep, but a bit outdated. It was nice having a washing machine. "

"We had a great stay at the Mimaru Kyoto Station, really enjoyed this line of hotels. The staff was great and the apartments are well suited for families. Great to have a nice quiet place to rest with the kids with space more equivalent to western travelers. Be prepared for early rises though as the shades behind the windows do not block much light. "
