"An excellent hotel right in the middle of Holmfirth with the buses just seconds away. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. There are breakfast options and I was able to mix and match my choices when needed. Excellent choice of evening meals and Sunday lunches at very reasonable prices. "The room was modern and spotlessly clean, although compact; kettle, beverages, hairdryer and ironing board provided, along with a good supply of coat hangers in the wardrobe. Very comfortable bed and an excellent shower. A slight downside was that the rear access (fire escape) and kitchen extractor system were right outside our window, so a bit noisy in the late evening and early morning. "Stayed in the Dove Apartment - best of both worlds with the pub restaurant downstairs and self catering facilities in the suite. Staff are really friendly and helpful - can’t do enough for you! They even provide a brochure with maps and instructions for good circular walks starting at the pub. Would definitely recommend."

"Lovely..nice & modern apartment..well cleaned but had only 2 tiny heaters on the wall. It was a square type. Thes 1 in the living room and 1 in the the bedroom..with not alot of heat coming out..there was a waste. There was a wooden burning stove but the wood supplied didnt last long & then it was £5 for another bag..alternatively the wood could be purchased at a store in the village but it was very windy & wet to go out"
