"Lovely and helpful front staff. Can't beat the location for convenience to the airport - in sight and just a ten minute walk though there is also a free shuttle that runs frequently. Also a convenient bus stop out front for a bus that takes you right into the city for touring (~15 minute bus ride). Had room service from the hotel restaurant - excellent. Very nice hotel worker delivered the food (he had also lived for a while in my own hometown - Boston, MA!)"

"Right next to the airport was a plus for me. The space was open and modern on the first floor, where the reception, bar and restaurant shared the same space. The room could have used a refrigerator, but it was spacious and comfortable."

"Great little oasis by the airport. Chose this based on closeness to the airport for leaving the next day, only 5-10 min. Great location, quiet, and the grounds around were very nice. Easy parking on-site. Rooms were very nice and clean. Only issue is there is no lift and had to use stairs. Restaurant was very nice and breakfast was good. If you like wine, they have a great selection. Nice place, would highly recommend."

"If I could give a minus score I would. It was advertised as a hotel that provided an airport shuttle. They do not. No one at reception and no eating facilities until Dinner! Nothing by the hotel except car lots. Room was worn and carpet and furniture stained. My room was an adjoining room with no sound proofing between. Food and coffee was terrible. Certainly not worth $178 a night! Would not return."

"Close to airport, has a shuttle. Early breaand shuttles super convenient. Rooms were newly renovated and beautiful. Hallways still had older carpet but clean. Staff super helpful!"

"Room had a few issues (tap that was loose, soap dispenser that didn’t dispense) but the breakfast was good and the pool was great!"

"Good location for getting into Edinburgh and surrounding areas, golf course looks very well maintained. Bathrooms could do with some modernisation (shower screens would be better than curtains!!). Limited menu choices plus ordered same sandwich in 2 different bars and were completely different - better in Cocktail bar!!"

"The grounds are beautiful and historic and when we drove up I had high expectations for the interior. I would not consider it anywhere near a 4 star hotel. The room was in a poor state, and paint was chipping from every surface, and the carpet was split down the center of the room creating a crater, in addition to being frayed and shredded. "Staff were friendly and accommodating when we arrived early before check in time. All 3 guests were delighted with the room especially our 9 year old boy was delighted to be sleeping in the bunk bed..this was a lovely birthday treat."

"The room was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful and the bar was nice and busy. It was a gorgeous day so we sat outside with our cocktails. My only negative comment would be the need for a blackout blind. The room didn't get totally dark other than that, I would highly recommend."
