"The staff was most excellent to me each and every time I returned to the hotel, no sooner than I approached the front desk no more than 3-5 feet in the house, did either doorman, lobby attendant, front desk staff or management cordially, but consistently without fail, never a miss of the warm welcome back to the lodge, than to hear 'Welcome Back'. Regardless of time of night, mid-day, wee hours of way too early in the morning straggling back weary from one last ditch attempt at the watering hole of the den of eniquity, as it were; most often out and back in again after paying too much money to disrobe, take a lap, rewrap recompose myself and head for the door for launguishing up and down the hall of bare footed yuck just gave me 'the ole walkin' blues; and returned to a solemn look of sadness 'for me' but instead the ever warm glow of 'Welcome Back. Well it just made me sing the theme to Welcome Back Kotter each and every time I rode the elevator home. And was dutifully reminded, I do have dreams yet to dream again. And I haven't even reached for one. So to the staff of Washington Plaza Homestead, a great big thanks for the bottom of my heart in the most sincere and thankfulness to "

"Staff was NOT welcoming everything from checkin to checking out. I asked for a later checkout as my friend and I were going to hangout and explore Bmore after the Fantasia concert last night. The tub was stopped up had to call maintenance and the sink was stopped up this morning and also had to call maintenance. Noone asked us how we were hoped everything was handle if we needed anything. They couldnt gave us a breakfast voucher for the inconvenience. That was to much like right. "

"Nice old hotel! Conveniently located to DC attractions. Lots of little breakfast/lunch places nearby and a CVS. Enjoyed our stay. Valet parking was steep at $69 a day. A few negatives....Too much furniture in small room. Refrigerator was filled with mini bar items and no room to put our food/drinks. We had an adjoining room so we could hear the conversations next door. Bathroom mirror was deep/really far away from the sink which made it difficult to apply make up, etc. Lighting also wasn't great in bathroom. "
