Hueco Tanks State Park

Hueco Tanks is an amazing place, there are hollow spots on boulders in Hueco Tanks that hold great amounts of fresh water that sustain the diverse wildlife found in this park and protected by Texas law for preservation reasons. #HuecoTanks #HistoricSite in #ElPaso #Texas is a series of low #mountains with high #altitude #desert #basin where #visitors can spend their day #hiking, #bouldering, #mountainclimbing #birdwatching, seeing #nature, and find many of these #rockpaintings, #pictographs, #rockart, or #petroglyphs. It's a lot easier to find them if a #guidedtour is taken, as the volunteers or #parkrangers know exactly where to look. Hueco Tanks has many #water holding hollows or depressions in the boulders throughout the area. Because of the abundance of water, #wildlife such as #wildboar, #mountainlions, among other mammals are found here, other common animals found are #snakes, and over 200 species of birds. This territory is protected by Texas law for conservation. It's a great place to go #camping and #exploring.
