Stayed in an upstairs room in The Bakery. Stairs are very steep so, if you have any issues with climbing stairs, make sure you are not staying in an upstairs room. Cocktails were fabulous in the pub!

Clean & Spacious Room

Beautifully clean & spacious room and really superb 'cooked to order' breakfast. We also thought our two rooms were great value for our 2 day stay with out adult son.

Last minute night in Thornton

For the price it was good as breakfast was included which was very good. Room very small but OK for one night. Good location for walking. Had dinner in the restaurant and it was 5 Star and excellent quality whilst being reasonably priced.

Gorgeous stay in the Old Bakery at The Orange Tree

A superb stay in a lovely location. The room in the Old Bakery was clean and comfortable, had everything we needed including a coffee machine! Breakfast was fantastic. Would definitely recommend and hope to return in the future.

Gem on the North Norfolk coast

Fabulous dog-friendly cosy pub with rooms. Had a lovely ground floor room with a very nice wet room. Could eat in the bar area with our dog and the food was excellent and very creative. Lovely walk right from the door around the salt marshes and each access to other areas along the coast. Would highly recommend

We have stayed at The Orange Tree several times and as always our latest stay was excellent. The staff make us feel welcome, nothing is too much trouble and above all they always have a welcoming smile on all their faces.

Great breakfast and restaurant bar areas. Did friendly room quite basic but was fine, some touches to welcome the dog would have been a nice touch. We were in a courtyard room, would consider looking at a different dog friendly room option next time.

We really enjoyed our short stay at the Orange Tree. Everything was clean , tidy and well organised. Staff were very friendly with us , and our dog Poppy. We will return perhaps later in the year.

food and service was good and location excellent but couldnt recommend the accommodation , room was small and you could clearly hear your neighbour through paper thin walls which was extremely off putting and spoiled our stay

Its a great place to stay but I feel there are some staff training issues? When I book a stay a month in advance, including restaurant meals, I don't expect to be asked to queue outdoors for a table with casual visitors.

Amazing service, great hotel

Everything was really good. Room excellent, all very clean, a really warm welcome and easy check in. Dinner was really good, highly recommended. Highlight was that I was leaving before breakfast, so they made me up an egg sandwich at my request so I could take it with me. Nothing was too much trouble, everyone always smiling. Wonderful! Thanks everyone

A lucky find

A very lucky find. We literally booked this 5 minutes before we arrived. Great room/suite. We booked a room but it consisted of a bedroom, lounge and conservatory with a small garden. Excellent. The restaurant was busy and food first class. We will definitely return in warmer weather.

Hidden Gem

The welcome and hospitality were excellent from arrival to departure. The only improvements would have been if the room had been slightly larger, there had been more wardrobe space, and there had been a bath. The hotel was welcoming and dog-friendly. The staff were all wonderful and made us feel like we were part of their family. The room was spotless, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent; the chef Isaac created dishes worthy of a Michelin star. If you do not intend to stay at the hotel, come for the food.

The Orange Tree has benefited from an extensive upgrade and refurbishment and the place exudes an air of nothing spared quality. We had an upstairs annex room and whilst the room itself was clean and well appointed, it was rather cramped and lacked any windows and therefore the option of nighttime ventilation - not so good in hot weather. Food quality was good and menu choice also good, although service was a little slow at times, even though the restaurant was not particularly busy.
