"Ideally situated for Burghclere Castle.Amenities in the room was more than adequate with all the extras such as hair dryer, iron ironing board for those staying more than overnight.Extras in the room water tea coffee and chocolate biscuits etc all the extra touches.Quality bed linen and towels.
The newly appointed owners are in the process of upgrading and decorating the rooms. Ours was comfortable, warm and plenty of hot water.

"Everything was lovely, especially the staff! In the middle of a heatwave, AC would have been nice but that’s Mother Natures fault. Food was excellent, parking was easy and the surroundings were beautiful! I definitely recommend for a taste of old world charm."

"The place was great. The only thing was the shower. The shower was great but there is no place to put you change of clothes while showering. There needs to be more, larger hooks."

"We had a lovely stay. Andrew was a great host and showed us everything we needed. The bar was humming and our dinner was fabulous.
We had a great nights sleep. The renovated bathroom was excellent and had a nice big shower. Room 2 was lovely overall.
Breakfast in the morning was excellent..
Overall we had a lovely overnight stay at the Cricketers Inn and would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area. "

"Everything was wonderful EXCEPT no air conditioning so the whole hotel felt like a sauna (we were there during a heat wave in May) and they didn’t do table service for dinner so we had to order our food and drinks from the bar, which isn’t the end of the world but knocks a star off the rating. Room was super cute, well decorated, the bathroom was really nice, loved the shower and it was very clean.
