"This is truly an exceptional hotel. Helpful and friendly staff, roomy room, super bathroom. The renovations were luxuriously done for an 1800s building. Breakfast was superb. Overall, very Danish and likeable. My only issue was there is no AC. Denmark experienced a heat wave and its full summer. Thankfully it cooled at night and open windows helped."

"Loved my junior suite, well appointed, clean, quiet and efficient! The staff was attentive, very pleasant and helpful. I used the gym facilities, clean and nice. The buffet breakfast had an array of choice and was well prepared and satisfying! The location was superb, very close to Tivoli Gardens and the Glyptotek, and very close to Central train station and all public transit! I would not hesitate to stay at Locke again!"

"I love this boutique hotel group and would stay with them again in a heartbeat. This hotel recently opened and everything is lovely. The rooms are so comfortable, great bed and soft sheets, blackout blinds. We slept really well. Staff are very kind and helpful, definitely ask for recommendations in the area and they are happy to offer suggestions. Breakfast is excellent."

"The stay blew away our expectations. We got a suite instead of a single room. The staff were probably the friendliest people in Copenhagen. The views of the canal out the window, the details paid to everything (the hidden fridge), the great water pressure. It's been years, maybe decades since a hotel impressed me as much as our stay at the Kanalhuset did."

"Incredible design, built among the old Carlsberg brewery. Loved our stay. It’s a bit of a distance from metro and from the center city, but the stay was great at a good price. Also, the included breakfast was amazing!"

"Nice but basic hotel. No proper lock on the door, which I did not like, as a lone female traveller it meant a barely slept. The reception on 7th floor is very nice, the ground floor lobby is not. I was pleased it was only for one night. I would have had to have gone elsewhere if it was for a longer trip."

"Very charming and well considered hotel. No trashcan or coffee in the room, but nice shared coffee/tea station on each floor. The pool area was super busy to the point of being not usable and not possible to sit near it at any point during the 5 days we were there. But the hotel itself is very lovely and welcoming and the rooms have great windows and a very cool recycling shower. I will definitely be looking at other hotels in this chain in the future."

"Hotel was beautiful, courtyard style was very fun, however the noise carries up the building and amplifies it into the rooms. There was no AC or fans of any type, so on the few hot days we stayed it was either get accosted by noise, or sweat in a stagnant room. Unfortunately this is not a summertime hotel, or at least not in its current state."

"The rooms are nicely decorated and clean but poorly designed. The bathroom that has the toilet and shower is tiny. The shower in our travel trailer has more room. I would not recommend this hotel for larger size people. The elevator only stops on the floor you’re staying on. Our children’s room was on a different floor which our room key couldn’t access. With some reluctance the staff gave us a separate room key for their floor."

"The location of the hotel was great for us as tourists. While somewhat noisy, we did not mind. The view from our windows was fantastic. The room was minimalistic and very small. It was very difficult to get two suitcases open and be able to walk and there was one very uncomfortable chair. The twin beds were very comfortable.
