Mt. Thielsen’s steep summit spire was formed via glacial erosion after the volcano ceased erupting. It’s seen here towering over Diamond Lake from neighboring volcano, Mt. Bailey. Bailey itself is much younger and as such is more rounded on the summit - it has not been as whittled by ice. Discoveries like these are why my husband and two dogs and I have been on the road for three months in our van! #adventure

Toketee Lake is a great place for fishing and taking the boat out. Easy little drop in on far side (not next to damn) fishing was not good for us but was told if you go out father near the damn you should have better luck. The staff were GREAT and the overall stay was great but the main reason we stayed here was to hot tub and when we went to the hot tub and turned on the jets it smelt FUNKYYYY. We ended up just going back to our room; but outside of that the stay was great!
