Lovely stay, friendly host. Room dated but had everything you need. The bed was so comfortable it was a delight. Only issue was the parking and neighbouring properties are rundown, which is a real shame of such charming buildings from 1800s. Breakfast nice and well organised. Would stay again

Had a great mini break. Plenty of on street parking near the accommodation. Room was good size, clean and comfortable. Good choice of breakfast which was freshly cooked. It was all good with no negatives

This property was stunning, clearly well cared for by the lovely owners Sharon and Daryl. A proper period property and a place to stay since the late 1800s. Fantastic views, lovely comfy beds and pillows. The breakfasts were amazing and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Ilfracombe or as we did as a stay before heading to Lundy to dive.

A lovely guest house

A lovely guest house with lovely hosts Sharon and Darryl plus a lovely lady who helped at breakfast. Friendly team and easy going atmosphere. Well situated for the harbour. Breakfast was stunning and overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend it to everyone.

Excellent breakfast, super helpful host

Wonderfully located just near the harbor with plenty of restaurants within walking distance, we got a solid start on the day with the delicious and hearty cooked to order breakfast. It's just steps to the South West Coastal Path for short or long hikes and a nice swimming beach close by. Since Ilfracombe was our first stop on our way south, the host provided an extensive list of places we might want to visit. We were able to find free on-street parking out in front both days we stayed, but the Collingdale's own spots are reasonable and convenient too. My only complaint, and it's minor, is that the ensuite shower is quite small and hot water takes a long time to reach the upper floor. As I said—minor. I'd stay again, recommended!

Sharon is the perfect host, very friendly and welcoming. The property is lovely with lots of character. We had a beautiful sea view and our room was immaculate. Great choice of breakfast and very accomadating. The downside for us was that the evenings were noisy. There is a venue nearby that played loud music that spoilt our peace. There is alot of stairs in this property and we were at the top. Wouldn't be suitable for the unfit! Although definitely worth the climb as this is a very good value, comfortable stay that is on the doorstep of all what beautiful Ilfracombe has to offer.

Amazing! Sharon and Daryl are the perfect hosts and me and my partner feel right at home. Parking is very easy, you can park up just outside the hotel. When you go in, you're greeted by the hosts who are so friendly. They give you a welcome booklet which gives you all the details you need about the hotel, places to eat, things to do etc. which is perfect if you've never visited the area before. Our room was lovely, comfortable bed, great sea view, very convenient wardrobe and drawers. Tea and coffee with some biscuits that are replenished everyday:) Everything you can need! Breakfast is wonderful, they cater to any dietary requirement (2 veggies). Brilliant service, gorgeous food and divine coffee every morning. There is a longue area with a TV if you want to relax and there is also an honesty bar available which was a really nice touch. Only a couple of niggling points. The Wi-Fi was so-so (we were on the top floor so understandable) and the shower can be a bit noisy but you get use to it. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Convenient clean hotel

Very friendly and warm guest house. Sharon, Daryl and Sue made us feel most welcome and they were accommodating to dietary needs. Breakfast was excellent with lots of options and plenty to eat. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Collingdale is exquisitely decorated with beautiful art pieces. Fantastic views of the harbour and Verity, st Nicholas’ chapel and sea.

Lovely people very friendly

Great location. Short walk to the town. Very friendly owner who looked after us throughout our stay. Room 2 has a large bed. En suite and a small balcony overlooking the harbour and sea. The breakfast is fantstic. The communal rooms very well appointed.
