Search Hotels Near Institute of Puerto Rican Culture, San Juan

"My husband and I arrived early before our room was not ready. We were told that we would be sent a text when the room was ready. We never received the text and returned back to the hotel at 4:30 and the room was ready. The room we reserved was a king courtyard suite. The room was nothing like described. There was no courtyard view only two ceiling high windows that provided little to no natural light. I went back to the front desk and expressed my concern about the room I reserved versus the room we received. I was told that the living room area was the court yard area. They clearly have a different definition of what a courtyard view actually is. We were there 3 nights and each night we barely got any sleep until after 2 :00 am due to our room being located directly under the rooftop restaurant and the dropping of items on the floor, cleaning of floors etc etc etc. Thursday morning I went down to the front desk and let them know that they should have informed us where the room was located because we would have certainly requested another room. I also met some young ladies who also were staying at the Alma and they expressed the same concern that I did as far as the courtyard view. This is definitely something that needs to be explained better in the description of the rooms. The location was great. The restaurant located inside of the hotel was overpriced and didn't have a wide variety on their menu. We ate all of our meals at local establishments. "

"Nice place. Clean room with high ceilings and centrally located. Parking is difficult in all of Old San Juan. No real amenities at this place but it is a quiet and nice place. Advertised a bottle of wine but it was never given. "

"This was such a wonderful atmosphere, super friendly staff and clean room. The complimentary bar was nice after a long day of walking around the city. And no children running around yelling was an absolute plus."

"The staff was wonderful and the location was great for seeing the city... The hotel and room were clean and well kept. We were on the 3rd floor and the hot water took a couple of minutes to get there but it did arrive... The rooftop was great... Very relaxing... It's a nice place to stay."
