"I was surprised that we did not get any daily room cleaning service. One morning the cafe was closed Because an employee failed to show up for work. They did offer us compensation with free continental breakfast and compensation at the restaurant. Sean bent over backwards in apologizing to us. "

"Only front desk person on property and Clyde couldn’t be bothered if you needed anything! Had to asked for a trash a for our suite room everyday 4 nights and still never received one! The maid spoke zero English! She only spoke French. The Hotel itself is a good location but for the price you pay you would think they could clean your room or bring you a trash can. "

"The indoor pool is out of order for the indefinite future (expected never to reopen), so it’s now just a big pond behind a window. It should not be listed as an amenity."

"Our stay at the Dinsmore was perfect. Jake the manager responded quickly to every question and the location couldn’t have been better - everything within easy access and onsite parking. The ambiance of the buildings made us feel part of the history that drew us to C’ville for a mini-vacay and the included breakfast at the attached restaurant was beyond divine. Only problem was we were always too full to eat lunch later!!"

"This location is right in the heart of the University of Virginia grounds so it was very easy for us to drive to John Paul Jones arena for the basketball game and to Klockner Stadium for the lacrosse game. It is on a cu-de-sac with other houses. It is very close to restaurants, the Corner, and the downtown mall. If you are going to Scott Stadium, you can walk there which is great because parking is expensive and difficult to get. The room was clean, but not bright and the temperature on the...

"Nice, modern and elegant hotel in very good condition and beautiful grounds. Conveniently located when visiting UVA campus. Could be improved: restauration options. Diner and breakfast options were limited and costly. Parking was valet only and expensive."

"Great location within walking distance of multiple dining options. Easy walk to the self-park lot. Very helpful staff in the lobby. Views from rooftop terrace are great! And the pizza up there is delicious. Very easy 1 block walk to/from parking lot. @$20 for overnight."
