"We really enjoyed our stay at the Kauai Shores. The staff were very kind and helpful in helping us feel accommodated. We stayed almost a week. Highlights: - Free valet/ parking included in resort fees (most properties charge extra) - Laundromat on site (it was very humid and this came in handy before our return). - Mid-way to both south and north shore, and very close to airport - this allowed us to see all of the island from day to day and maximize our time/experience. - Extra nice staff...

"My family and I are in Hawaii to celebrate my son‘s graduation from Ucla. We traveled from Philadelphia, which is nearly 10 hours in the air. When we arrived at the resort, there was no Mai Thai waiting for us as advertised on the companies website. When accessing our room we had to force the door open as apparently the hinge screws had come out of the frame. Finally, when we came down to the pool and beach area the next morning, all the chairs had been covered in towels yet there was no one in...

"The staff was very friendly and helpful. They let us check out beach towels, boogie boards, and beach chairs for free. The view from the room overlooking the beach and palm trees was super. The location was centrally located for going either direction on the island. The problem was that homeless were prevalent around the area. Most the best food in the area was from food trucks, which was fine most of the time. They definitely need a new bed. I felt like I was sleeping on the side of the hill...

"The location is definitely the highlight for this resort. Perfectly situated in front of the beach, with a view of the ocean from basically anywhere in the resort. The beach itself is not for swimming as it’s short and rocky, but there are plenty of good options at walking distance. The resort itself is OK, adequate for the price but not exceptional. Room amenities are limited also in the “premium” rooms. Nice pool, although in the late afternoon, which would otherwise be the best time for...

"It's a good place. Nothing fancy, especially on the outside, but inside i found a clean, nicely furnished room. The pool was excellent. I didn't like the check in process. I had a note to call for info on how-to check in, but also got messages that seemed to contradict the message that I needed to call. I had asked for an early check in. This was the last day of a trip and I elected to get a room while we waited for an evening flight. There was no evidence I got any favors on this request...

"There is no AC in the units. If you have any issues do not expect a return call. These are older units and we had many items that did not operate in the room — the fan (essential) and the tub (essential). Property is nice and view is amazing on the Cliff"

"Beautiful grounds and beach view and stay on Kalapakī Bay. Helpful staff all with the Aloha Spirit. Many great restaurants and coffee shops close by. Room had a balcony with a gorgeous view of the pool, beach and bay. Hotel provided many activities for all ages."
