"A small group of modern appartments in a rural location with a great pool and stunning views. 20 min walk from village with good restaurants and shops. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Going breakfast available.
The walk back from the village is steep but a taxi was 5 Euros. If you get the exact Google Maps location it is not difficult to find. "

Die Zimmer waren sehr sorgfältig eingerichtet und stets sehr sauber. Wir hatten sogar eine eigene Terrasse mit Aussicht auf den nahegelegenen Berg.
Das Hotel verfügt ausserdem über zwei Pools. Einer bedeckt und der andere unbedeckt fürs perfekte Geniessen der Sonne.
Das Hotel liegt direkt am Dorf Archanes, wo sich das ganze Leben abspielt. Läden, gute Restaurant und ein schöner Marktplatz.

"Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "

"Very nice place! Excellent value. Some wear around the edges, but well cared for and great service. Room was very comfortable and clean. Pool and public areas were good. Breakfast bar was delicious with many options. Close walk to beach and main town area, but far enough away to avoid the crowd if you wanted. Great value for the price!"

"We found the Hotel owner (Eli) to be very helpful & approachable on all levels. The Hotel was considered to be of a very good standard (for a 3 star). The Pool / Bar/ Foyer areas were very clean and to a high standard, the sunbeds were comfy and the pool was clean / well maintained.
Our room (top floor) had everything we needed, inc good AC & kitchen area & view down to the coast. The room was cleaned to a high standard whenever needed.

"Love the hotel, chilled out music playing during the day, pool area does get busy at weekends but not oppressive.
Really great food in the restaurant here, definitely recommend going half board.
Hersonissis for me isn’t somewhere I would visit again, I don’t like the vibe in the strip. However, Koutouloufari is a ten minute walk from this hotel and is wonderful.
The staff at the hotel are really very nice, Erika in particular is a great host and an asset to this hotel."

"It was an amazing stay, the people made my week at the hotel one of the best moments of my long trip this summer. All the staff were very friendly, familiar and attentive to my needs.

Points positifs : accueil et personnel agréable, petit-déjeuner et dîner de haute qualité, parking facile. Matelas confortable et magnifiques piscines.
Points négatifs : malgré 4 appels à la réception et le passage (probable) d'un technicien, la climatisation ne produisait aucune fraîcheur. 28 degrés dans la chambre, impossible d'avoir une vraie nuit de sommeil donc. Pour un hôtel en Crete à plus de 350€ la nuit et affichant 4 étoiles, ce n'est pas vraiment...
"Es ist ein super schönes Hotel mit einer tollen Aussicht auf die ganze Stadt. Einzige Minuspunkt. Ist das etwas abgelegen? Ist man wirklich auf jeden Fall ein Mietwagen brauch oder sich ein Taxi holen muss. Und das Frühstück ist auch nicht so krass. Es ist sehr einfach gehalten, aber im großen und Ganzen war es einsuper Aufenthalt. ist eher was für Paare und etwas älteres Publikum. "
"We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment. The rooms were airy and quirky. We had a terrace and 2 balconies so there was always somewhere shaded to sit. The breakfast that was delivered to our room each morning was incredible, a basket full of local produce and a hot dish every day. Everything was delicious. Everyone we encountered was so friendly and welcoming. We truly felt like special guests. The location is great. A short stroll into the village and silent at night. We can’t wait to return...
