"The house itself is lovely, the room was very comfortable, the beds were heavenly, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were accommodating when we had some delays checking in and out. The shower was the only downside--it was very hard to get the water to turn on and the water pressure was weak."

We enjoyed a delicious 4 course dinner on the evening of our arrival prepared and served by our host Mathew. This was our first visit to Melfort House and hopefully we will be back again soon."

"The bed and breakfast was delightful. We had a fourth floor room with amazing views of the harbor. The place was decorated well and was very welcoming. They provided separate shampoo, conditioner and body wash unlike the other places in Scotland where we stayed. The gal that was working was so nice and helpful.
