"Very happy with our stay. I was reluctant, but very happy"

"Although my room was small it had everything you could need for a stay. The choices for breakfast were poor. I have a sulphite intolerance so I couldn’t have anything with grape based products in. Many of the cereals were therefore out for me and the rest were more for children. No fresh fruit apart from a fruit salad which also has grapes in it. All the staff were great and very helpful. Drinks in the bar a bit overpriced but plenty of choice. Generally we enjoyed our stay."

"A great location to explore the area, including walking distance to WoodHenge, a short drive to Stonehenge and an hour from Glastonbury. Very quiet, peaceful and quaint. The perfect short break away."

"A perfect little country pub with rooms. Very friendly staff, small but comfortable room, good en-suite. Food excellent, throughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend . "

"This was an amazing experience! These people have been doing this for 40 years, and have it down! Hospitality is second nature to them! Everything was lovely! They gave us the family suite so we wouldn’t have to bring our luggage upstairs. Hilary made the most perfect breakfast and it was so lovely to chat with her. Highly recommend this place for home away from home! Definitely going back again!"

" Valeria was an excellent host. This place was nice and met my expectations. The breakfast each morning was superb and plentiful. Everything from a continental breakfast to a full English breakfast- wonderful. The location was a 2 min walk to the train/bus station; perfect for our arrival and pick up for bus tour to Stonehenge. And the Cathedral w/ a viewing of the Magna Carta was walking distance (abt 9 mins) from the Caboose; very nice location indeed. "

"Great place if you want close to the railway: just across the street and around the corner. Very clean, room was small but comfortable, very clean. It did have too much of an air freshener odor so we hid the freshener sticks and didn't use the smelly soap. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and they stored our luggage in the early morning because we went to Stonehenge. I'd stay here again."

"The building is centuries old, so keep that in mind. The stairs are not always level, but they manage to provide modern amenities. The restaurant is a favorite among locals for good reason. And the House is across the street from the cathedral. So convenient."

"Clean room picked riverside four poster . Not really a great riverside view due to flat roof . Water in the evening for the shower was like warm We did mention it and the morning it was sorted . Parking was good and easy . Lovely walk into the city . I thought breakfast was included and considering we already paid £215 midweek I think it was quite expensive without breakfast "

"Amazing place to stay. Everything was perfect. Room was beautiful and really spacious and cosy. Nicely decorated and loved the small touches. Had dinner which was really good. Possibly one of the best places we have stayed in UK. Will try and get back for a few nights again"

"The property was well located for an overnight stop on our way from Heathrow to family in Devon. Check in was smooth and staff welcoming. Room was ok. Bathroom floor prob needed a clean round edges as fluff and couple of dead flies were behind bathroom door. Shower was very hot. Hard to control temperature and at times was near scalding. The curtains in the bedroom had seen better days. Not hung properly so overall look tired. Bed sheets were clean and bed was comfy. Coffee and tea making avail...

"I booked two rooms, one for myself the other for my son. When we arrived we were given keys to our respective rooms and another for external door entry outside of opening hours. My key was just loose with no number. We were told that we could have a drink at the bar but needed to go immediately as it was about to close. The nice young lady who booked us in appeared to serve drinks. We sat down to have our beers on stained and tacky looking chairs and a large dog appeared and came and joined...
