"We booked the hotel through Expedia for a cycle event in Wincanton. The location was perfect. Our room was huge and had an external door allowing access to the exterior. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the meal. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked too. All staff were pleasant and sociable to us. Would happily stay again."

"Unsatisfactory. No kettle in the room—I had to ask twice. Restaurant service was slow and inattentive. The steak pie had very little gravy, and the same staff member was on her phone at the service counter, so I couldn’t request more. No offer of dessert. The bedroom door emits a mini alarm when opened, which is irritating late at night. The walls are thin, with corridor doors slamming and disrupting sleep. "Really enjoyed our stay. Welcome was courteous and helpful. We had an evening meal which was delicious. Service was great. Breakfast was the highlight! Enjoyed the Dorset dairy yoghurt. One very minor point no smoked salmon alternative to bacon with the eggs Benedict but mushroom was suggested instead and was equally delicious. Overall an excellent stay room was comfy, cosy and clean - thank you 🙏"
