Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much. We checked in very late and staff were still available to help. Breakfast was fantastic. Service was brilliant and again staff were really helpful. Room was nice. Suitable for our needs though could do with a freshen up, but clean and all the amenities we needed.

The exterior of the building looks a bit run down, but other than that a really lovely hotel in a quiet rural location. The room was spacious, modern and clean. The restaurant served delicious food with very generous portions. Quiet outdoor seating area with lovely views. Would definitely recommend

The place was modern, clean, well maintained with pleasant staff. The down side was the food, the kitchen had strange ideas on a poached egg.The yolk on the eggs in the Eggs Royal l ordered were hard boiled, separate from the white and spherical as if it had been cooked in a melon baller. The holandaise sauce was watery with no taste. That evening in the bar a group of people came in and sat around the bar. As the evening went on they got louder and swearing having no respect for the families with young children that were in the vicinity. The management did not seem to intervene, but it spoilt the night. The length of time the food took to arrive was also an issue, but the food was freshly cooked and there did appear to be only one chef and an assistant so this could have been why. Overall the first impressions of the hotel on arrival were very good but the problems above did take the shine off our stay.

Perfect!

A beautiful clean hotel in the middle of nowhere which made it even better! Travelled down for a wedding at Pennard Farm and didnt know what to expect but a really lovely place. Staff were really friendly and welcoming and breakfast was beautiful. A truly pleasant stay.
