"Reception lady didn't even get out her chair to greet us Their was a wedding at the venue and I feel as a regular guest we were ignored I paid alot off money for the 6 off us to stay their and I won't recommend or stay here again My son went to the bar and asked for a pint off larger only to be told their was no glasses ?? I asked for 2 bottles off cider and was given hot glasses out the dishwasher We had nowhere to sit because all tables and chairs were taken up by wedding guests We did eventually sit outside the spa but was asked to leave due to the fact it was closing so off to our rooms we went The tall man in the spa was absolutely amazing friendly and kind Never again and expensive for nothing Slamming door hotel bang bang bang all night"

"Most of the hotel looked okay but our room was not. We were given room 13 (unluckily). The hotel was fully booked and despite booking months in advance, we got given a room on the lower ground floor. The fact she apologised when she gave us the room key was the first sign we were not in for a treat. To get to our room we had to walk down a long corridor past meeting rooms etc - I may be wrong but it had overflow room vibes. It smelled like dust and damp as we were walking down. Once in the room it was clearly due an update - scraped woodwork and walls, dirty grout, etc. A moth flew out of the curtain when we shut them. The drain in the bathroom had multiple flies jumping around it. I really needed a shower after a long day at a festival so attempted to wash them away. As soon as I turned the shower on there was loud banging. It went on while the water was running and for a couple of minutes after - I clearly could not use this facility. The bed sheets didn’t look clean and the whole room made us feel itchy. Checked out after 30 mins. Reception staff apologised, blamed the cleaners and said that they can’t check every room to make sure it’s clean - no resolution was offered so we just drove home. Would not recommend."

"Very nice staff, very clean room, nice clean bathroom nice shower over the bath plenty of hot water good water pressure, 2 small bottles of shampoo and body wash and a small bar of soap towels provided. Nice room with desk and chairs the bed was comfortable. Not enough power points to charge your phone/laptop/watch no USB points especially difficult if two people have items to charge at the same time maybe bring an extension lead/plug. Car parking is charged and expensive especially if staying longer than one night, and no conssesions for disabled parking and only one disabled parking space. Hotel is on a busy road but you don't hear the traffic noise in the hotel room. We didn't eat in the hotel as we always ate out and bought a snack back with us to have in the room. Hotel is on a duel carriageway and you have to go up to the roundabout to be able to get back to the hotel as there is no gap to get across to the hotel depending on which way you are travelling to and from the hotel."
