"The cottage was gorgeous, in a lovely quiet location and parking at the back. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. We only stayed a night but it had almost everything you'd need for a stay. A bit of soap in the bathroom and teatowel/towel and washing up liquid in the kitchen with some milk for a cuppa when you arrive would have made it perfect. I phoned to say that I would be late for final check in (10pm) and Alexandra, the lovely lady on the front desk, made sure I was checked in dignity and made me feel so safe about arriving late. "Lovely small hotel with a few areas to improve - room 10 the radiator didn’t work but they had left a small plug in , it didn’t heat the room so room was very cold . The bathroom had no extractor working so got very steamy and couldn’t use mirror . Fridge wasn’t secure in unit so fridge fell forward , TV had limited channels and could not get a response on how to access through pin . The hotel was beautifully restored and exceptionally clean. Would stay again if the room was heated "

"Hotel personnel were very helpful and friendly. Room, Toilet and shower very clean. Tea and coffee in the room was always replenished. The fan system air and refrigeration from the kitchen in the Beefeater was very loud especially at 05:30 AM. All in all I can recommend this hotel. 8 minutes with a Taxi to the train station."

"Comfortable cosy stay in lovely, clean cottage which is dog friendly. Situated minutes from shops meaning you can easily get your essentials or grab a drink in a lovely pub. Nice location and suitable base to drive to other parts of the region. The cottage was clean and presented as described. WiFi was excellent throughout ( I know that’s required for some, but not us) Has a small back garden, which is gated and perfect for dogs to stretch their legs."

Unfortunately we were directly above the function room which had a party on the Saturday day. The music was so loud that the furniture was vibrating. I should have requested a quiet room upon booking. I wouldn't let it put me off booking again"
