"I had a wonderful stay at Powter Howe, a real treat. The room and bathroom were immaculately cleaned and well kept and the host is a gem who cooks the best breakfast which includes lovely free range eggs from her own hens. Waking up in the morning to the view over a beautiful garden beyond the lake to Skiddaw was an extra treat as each morning there was a new ever changing Lake District vista. I'll definitely be back! "Clean nicely proportioned room, comfy bed, nice cotton bedding, soft towels. Good shower with lovely hot water. We had a delicious evening meal. Breakfast was really good too. Good service. All cooked to order. Our dog was made very welcome. We recommend without hesitation. "
