"I’ve stayed here twice and this hotel is really special! The downtown shopping and restaurant area, is literally right there…you can walk to everything from this hotel.
The property itself, is lovely — with lots shops, an ABC store, coffee shop, restaurant, as well as pool, bar and small beach. For me, the best thing is all the beautiful artwork and history surrounding King Kamehameha, his family and heirs. Hawaii has a rich history, and it’s on display at this hotel!

"For my first time ever visiting Hawaii, I was expecting more out of my room stay. The property only had one available restaurant, the property needed updating and poor maintenance upkeep.
The Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were evacuated from the south tower due to water and pipe issues. We relocated rooms 3 times during our stay at the Royal Kona.
Other than the room Our other Hawaiian experiences were AMAZING! Loved the island and its people! Mahalo!"

"I really enjoyed my stay here.. met all my expectations. Wasn't until the last couple days I ordered food to back to my room at the food truck by the pool and was left highly disappointed... if I ate near the pool and not packaged to go the food portions were appropriate.. otherwise i felt completely ripped off.
