As someone who has allergies one of the reasons I booked our accommodations at this unforgettable bread and breakfast was the hypoallergenic bedding and hardwood floors. "Great location! Everything was very close by. The pool and the beach were excellent. Snorkeling at the beach was ok but it gets better if you go further out. Our room had an issue with ants during our trip. The hotel just sent housekeeping over but the ants kept coming. Also my beach front view was blocked by a big tree and it was also very noisy in some mornings with the gardeners. Despite all of this, I still had a great time in Kona! There are some great beach parks within a 10-15 mins...

The restaurants are good (there are three - the Moana main restaurant, then two beach restaurants) but the cocktails were inconsistent. The breakfast buffet is excellent but expensive at $60. The water sports are limited.
The front desk service was also inconsistent - a long check-in experience but then very helpful during the stay.

"The showers had poor ventilation. Mildew and mold was so strong I was not able to shower there. I coughed uncontrollably when I entering. I took pictures for my insurance. I had parking across the street. Staff was helpful. There was one that was screaming and drinking alcohol. Other staff redirected her. She did curse often. I moved out after one day. The beds were cozy but if you have mold allergy it is impossible to stay there. Not enough ventilation in that area."
