Fantastic hotel! Highly recommend staying here for anyone visiting Kyoto. Restaurants, cafe, amenities, location and staff amazing. I would now only stay here when returning to Kyoto.
I did not try the breakfast and never ate in the hotel . The staff was amazing. They made all my dinner reservations and their recommendation were outstanding. The location is perfect for everything. The hotel was great. The first rose was so tiny I had to move .they got me a much nicer room and charged me 7000 yen more per night but worth it. The second room was great. I would stay again in a heartbeat. I was in 4 hotels on this trip and Okura was by far the best
Top-notch hotel, large beautiful room, wonderful service and excellent breakfast buffet. Breakfast could be crowded at times but very efficient with great western and Japanese selection.
The hotel is a traditional and historical luxury hotel. It is spacious and has old but beautiful style. If you appreciate old grandeur, you can appreciate this hotel. It has many important events. We were there to witness a big event with dozens of geishas walking in. Great in room shiatsu service. We did it 2 times.
