"It was fine. But I will say everything was the cheapest version of ammenities. Soap, coffee, breakfast items, etc. Again, it was fine for an overnight stay, just don't expect much in ammenities"
"This hotel is a short drive from both state parks in the area, with many restaurants nearby as well. Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfy. Definitely would stay here again!"
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Peru Starved Rock St Park

"Upon arrival, the signage to the property was well lit, and welcoming. The parking lot was marked well, and well lit. The front desk, and lobby area appeared to be clean and welcoming.
I was assigned a first floor room. Upon arrival to the room I noticed it wasn't as clean as I would have liked, but was not worth a fuss. The bathroom had a pretty definite sewer gas smell that would not go away. I turned on the fan and let it run the whole time. The room was not the cleanest, but appeared to have clean towels and linens. The pool area was the same, not the best, but acceptable. The front desk lady was very nice, and very busy with check ins, and there was severe weather in the area she was attending to. I didnt get around much more of the property. Was fine, just could use some attention to detail."
"The staff was incredible - very attentive and amicable. The continental breakfast was also impressive; as someone who typically goes for "hot plate" items, I enjoyed everything I tried and appreciated variety day to day while also keeping consistency with others. The infused water is a cherry on the top!
My king-bed room was spacious and well-kept, with very comfortable bedding, a mini fridge, microwave, and instant coffee maker (though I don't drink coffee).
Though I didn't use the gym or pool, they also looked well maintained.
While the hotel is located in an oversized parking lot, it connects to many retail, food, and entertainment options. I was visiting to explore Starved Rock, which was a short drive away; my recommendation - try the local restaurants and stay away from the national chains if you can! Incredible options in the area like Jalapenos (next door), Stone Jug Barbeque, and The Rootbeer Stand. "
