We booked this accommodation specifically because the listing stated that reliable internet service was available. In reality, the internet was completely non-functional for the entire week of our stay. This was not a minor inconvenience — it materially affected our ability to use the accommodation as intended.
We contacted Expedia during the stay, reported the issue, and were explicitly told by a representative that the matter would be escalated and that we would receive full compensation due to the misrepresentation. Despite this assurance, no follow-up ever occurred and no resolution was provided.
This is unacceptable. The property information was inaccurate, and Expedia failed to honor a clear commitment made by its own support team. At this point, we are not asking for goodwill — we are expecting the compensation that was promised.
Accurate listings, documented follow-through, and accountability from customer support are the minimum standard. This experience fell well below that standard.
