"Das Zimmer und Haus waren sehr sauber, der Hausherr sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist gut für Unternehmungen in Edinburgh, Parkplatz war während unseres Aufenthaltes vorhanden. Minuspunkte gebe ich weil die Matratze fpr mich zu hart war, kein normaler Kopfpolster sondern ein flaches Kissen das .Irgendwann Nackenschmerzen bescherte. Der Boden, ja ich weiß ist alt, aber knirscht bei jedem Schritt, extrem im Badezimmer und sogar in der Dusche. Das Badezimmer ist extrem klein, ich sag mal...

"Great location if you want to be on the quiet outskirts of the hustle. The tram drops you within sight of the front door, so it's super easy to get to Edinburgh proper via public transport. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance - however the posted hours are more suggestions than actual hours. Some didn't open when expected. Some were closed before posted closing times. If you are a night owl, you'd best eat early, hit the market for late night munchies or be prepared to walk to Storries...

"The Abbotsford guest house was run down and in need of renovations. Did not know before I booked I would be sharing a shower and toilet with the whole floor. Very uncomfortable! There was also no breakfast available. It said it was being remodeled. I actually never saw a host on my visit. The location was good, but the lodging was poor."

"They had no two beds available so I had to share a double bed with my son. Miriam felt so bad she gave us the giant family room instead!! She was very sweet and super helpful! It’s an old building so expect an old feel but it came with a fridge and we loved the giant room (especially after all the closet sized rooms through Europe and uk 🇬🇧). My only complaint is the firm beds and pillows.. I prefer more soft pillows and mattress’. I would stay here again! Google makes things look far for...

"This is a hidden gem. Yes, it is a shared bathroom, and as an American that was strange to me, but it was a private one and well maintained, with toiletries provided. My bedroom had a sink which was also useful. It's <10 minutes walking to the train station which is also nice. The staff were friendly and accommodating when I needed to leave my luggage with them after checkout"
