"Decent hotel for a one night stay!"

"Have stayed here before a couple of times when visiting family. This visit was nothing like as good as previous times. Positive - breakfast was good, good quality shower. Negatives - £5.50 to park(up from £5 3 months ago), bed uncomfortable, bathroom sink wouldn't hold water. My wife is lactose and soya intolerant. She brings her own milk which the hotel has always stored in their fridge. Point blank refusal this time - health and safety rules had changed- manager and duty manager were both there when we were told and said nothing so we assume they agreed. If you can't compromise for a food intolerance then have more dairy free alternatives at breakfast and not just soya"

"The hotel was good. It was central. The breakfast was awful. They ran out of many things had to wait for eggs and bacon. It wasn’t fresh orange juice. It was out of a carton if you like golf the hotel is good if you want to go for a relaxing weekend, forget it."

"I was not expecting a luxury hotel, so I wasn't disappointed. The room was a very good size and the hotel was a little shabby, but appeared to be clean. It is dated and there are no frills, which wasn't a problem for me. All I wanted was a clean room, a comfortable bed and a working shower - all of which I got. The curtains were coming away from the rail and there was nowhere to hang the towel in the bathroom, but I can live with that. The heating is delivered via a fan on the wall, which was noisy and not particularly effective. What really let it down was that the walls are very thin and it was therefore extremely noisy. There was a little noise from the traffic and some of the other guests and the people next door didn't appear to go to sleep at all. I could hear them laughing and talking most of the night. Their TV was on all night and I could still hear it at 6:30am. Not really the hotel's fault, but they also made frequent trips to the fire escape for a smoke. An alarm went off briefly on two occasions, the last time around 10pm. All in all, I didn't get much sleep - which was what I was there for. I wouldn't stay there again, given the choice."

"We stayed for one night before an exhibition at Stoneleigh Park. It was really convenient for that venue. The room was comfortable, breakfast was amazing -and for £11 you got fruit, yogurt, cereals, pastries, and then the full cooked breakfast buffet. The food was fresh, well presented and lots of choice. I did notice a gluten free breakfast bar too. We ate in the evening - not a massive choice on the menu, but we found something we liked. The only downside for us was that the room was hot, but that might be perfect for others. Parking was easy, lovely grounds to walk round and lots of smaller, nook like areas to spend time in. We did not try the gym or other facilities as we arrived late and left early. Would come back again. "

"I recently stayed in Room 33 and unfortunately it was a very poor experience from start to finish. The main issue is the location of the room, which is completely unsuitable for guests. It is positioned directly next to the disabled toilets and only about a metre away from the reception office door. This resulted in constant noise throughout the entire stay. Every time the reception office door was opened or closed, it caused our room door to vibrate loudly. This happened repeatedly and made it impossible to relax. In addition, the disabled toilet next door is in frequent use, and we could clearly hear everything — flushing, doors slamming, and general use. The noise levels were excessive and completely unacceptable for a hotel room. After travelling for four hours, we were hoping for an early night, but instead we were kept awake until after midnight due to the constant banging and disturbance. The disruption continued into the early morning. Around 5am, we were woken again by staff changeover, as the room is directly behind reception. We could hear conversations clearly, along with ongoing movement and door noise. This meant our sleep was repeatedly interrupted, making the stay exhausting rather than restful. The room itself also lacks basic comfort. The windows are single-glazed, do not shut properly, and offer little to no sound insulation, which only adds to the overall noise problem. On arrival, we were also disappointed to find that no food was available until 5pm"
