We booked Lanelay Hall over three months in advance for a special anniversary and were looking forward to the luxury boutique experience advertised. We had hoped that booking so far ahead would allow us to be allocated one of the more desirable rooms.

"The room had bed bugs. The receptionist was extremely nice and helped us with a refund. The rooms are decent for a one to two night stay and looked clean. When we removed the sheets, they were stained with a brownish color and bed bugs starting crawling from the carpet. Nice staff but the amenities were not clean. They tried to accommodate us to another room but the other beds were also stained and had a humid smell."

"At the time of check in we were told the car park was closed for 1 day. Undersrandable but disappointing. When we returned to our room at 11:30pm we found there was no hot water shower and only then noticed no telehone was provided in the room. Went to front desk for help but night shift staff was unable to offer any help. And lastly I realized there was no wifi password provided either. The wifi networks listed does show one of hotels either. Very underwhelming experience so for for my 2 nights...
