"The hotel was really well located less than a 5 min walk from Earl's Court tube (subway) station. The hotel was really several old large houses where the rooms were turned into hotel rooms. This is not unusual in London. However, the address on Expedia was misleading; there was no sign anywhere that said "Oxford Hotel". Was confusing in the beginning as to where the main reception was.

"It was clean, quiet, and the desk attendant was very accommodating. A lot of sources advertise a pub in the hotel, but it is closed and has been for years. Not much of a negative, but just be aware. There is no card entry into the building. The desk attendant has to buzz you in. At first it was a little strange, but the extra level of security is probably a good thing, though the neighborhood was not at all threatening.
