"Stayed here for one night after hiking Rainbow Falls and Turtleback Falls trail. Great location close to Cashiers where we saw 4th of July fireworks. Room was comfy and clean! Excellent air conditioning! They cooked made to order eggs and bacon and had assorted muffins, bagels, breads, and fruit. Chatted with the owner Julie at breakfast-super friendly! Don’t hesitate to stay here!"

"The room was large, clean, comfortable. The location was convenient and ideal for walking to downtown Sylva. Very pet-friendly, our dog was provided with a comfy blanket and a metal bowl for her water. Perfect."

"Loved Outpost Inn; highly recommend and can't imagine staying anywhere else in town -- incredible vibe, great coffee shop and wine bar, lots of cute spots to sit inside and outside. It felt like the place in town when all the younger, cooler (young meaning, 50 and under, ha) hang out. I loved my room, which was spacious and comfortable. I appreciated the free drip coffee in the mornings. And wow, the weather in Highlands can't be beat in the summer."

"If you’re looking for just okay, then this would be the place."

"Apparently, it is common practice to let five grown men drink outside for six hours right in front of the hotel taking upparking spaces they aren’t even using with cars and littering the entire area with empty bottles. The front desk said they were too scared to say anything, didn’t call the cops and said because they have hotel rooms there they do this every night. So a terrifying unhelpful dangerous place to stay."

"Over all stay was okay but when you book through Expedia, they don't provide a good room. I don't know what is the deal between them or it's about the person who stays there. Am an Asian obviously I can't change my face I wish I could to treat equally. They have the best slot for others they put me somewhere down where I can hear if someone walks upstairs I can hear clearly coz it's only the wooden floors and no carpet on it. I have very sensitive ears where I can't sleep. Then I requested them...

"The lights and the design of the yard make me feel warm and welcome. I especially like the barn fire each night!"

"The room was new and clean but the mattress was foam and slept like a hammock. Killed my lower back. The room was relatively small and the layout of the counterspace was uncomfortable. When we checked in, the attendant was nice but not helpful at all. She was there to point me to click on a website to check in and that was it. I will not go back to Wells MOTEL. It's not a hotel, it's a renovated motel."

"The hotel is in a good area, it's close to bojangles and the famous "Haywood Smokehouse". The owners let us check in early which was a plus! The room is old looking, pillows were flat, there was some repairs. Room was clean. We might stay here again."

"Lovely cabin with a very comfortable bed. A little tricky to find at first. WiFi was great. No cell service. Clean and neat with a warm and homey feel. Good communication. I would recommend this properly. "

"The maintenance of this property was quite poor. The air conditioning unit was super loud. The shower drain was clogged. The sink drain was clogged. The Bath fans had been disconnected and were inoperable. My reservation was confirmed for a handicap room, but when I arrived I was given a regular room on the second floor and there are no elevators. Overall my experience was quite unpleasant and I would never book another room at this location."
