We were abruptly woken at 2:30am by a fire alarm and given inconsistent explanations (first an insect, later smoking). "The room was small but very comfortable especially the bed which was perfect for a relaxing sleep. Staff were amazing and I couldn’t fault their kindness and eagerness to help. "OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through Expedia to get resolved. "Third time staying here due to the positive previous experiences. The positive streak continued with a great room featuring a fantastic air-conditioning unit which kept me cool in the June heat. A wonderful workout ensued in their very well-equipped gym set up. This was followed by a powerful shower and I went to dine nearby. Had a great night's sleep before a well-cooked breakfast got my day started perfectly. Can't wait to come back."
