"Clean room and friendly staff"

"The staff was fantastic and provided excellent service. However, the room was a bit muggy, and the shower was clogged. The water from showering kept filling the tub and didn’t drain. This was unfortunate because we were there for four days, and the clogged drain was a major disappointment for the hotel. "

"This was our 2nd time staying here but in a different room, 203. Unfortunately, this time my boyfriend got eaten alive by bedbugs the 2nd night. He stopped counting at 50 bites. A week later and they are still bothering him horribly on his arms, ankles, back, butt, and hands. When we showed the lady at the front desk his bites the next morning, she said she'd let the owner know and take care of it - for us to go and enjoy our day. When we arrived back that night after our day's activities, they offered for us to change rooms, but we declined since it was so late and we were leaving the next day. When I asked if our sheets had at least been change, the gentleman could not verify that had been done. When we left the next morning, a third person asked how our stay was and we again showed him my boyfriend's bites and he deducted the cost of our parking. We had no problem the first time when we stayed in room 216 so we would be willing to give them another try because we really like the location and decor. It's hard to find a place in the French Quarter with a microwave in the room! But bedbugs are a very hard pill to ignore. My boyfriend is more forgiving than me. If I'd gotten eaten like he had, there is no way I'd stay here again."

"Clean, convenient, great service"

"Hotel Mazarin is a NOLA gem inside of the French Quarter. It was resonably priced, even for the Jazz Fest 2nd weekend. The location is perfect for walking to everywhere; one street off of Bourbon and only a few blocks from Jackson Square or Canal Street. There are so many shopping venues, bars and restauarants all within walking distance. The hotel has a lovely inside courtyard where you can relax, meet with friends or pop in to the wine bar for a quick drink. Even though this is an older hotel, the rooms were nicely updated with spacious bathrooms and comfortable beds. It has a work out room that is functional. There is no onsite parking so valet is a must. It was only a few blocks to the buses and cable cars, so no need to have the car out for anything during the stay. This was the perfect hotel for an authentic NOLA weekend, and we would defintiely stay again. "

"The hotel was in a perfect location and within walking distance of everything in the French Quarter. The hotel was clean and the staff were amazing and friendly. The only complaint is there is absolutely no water pressure in the rooms. I understand wanting to preserve water, but you waste more because it takes 4x as long to take a shower with zero water pressure."

"Very disappointing stay. The area around the hotel had a very strong trash smell throughout the streets nearby, which made the experience unpleasant. The valet service was especially disappointing. The staff was unfriendly, and when I requested my car, it was left near a trash area instead of the hotel entrance, with little assistance or communication. I had to carry and load luggage on my own, which was frustrating and inconvenient. On top of that, there was confusion regarding the pet fee, which added unnecessary stress to the stay. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet expectations."
