First of all, we'd like to extend our apologies that the stay was not as you would have expected due to the routine request for pre authorisation of 75 on arrival. Kindly note that IHG, along with most other major hotel companies, utilizes credit and debit card authorizations as a standard practice. It is assumed when you make a reservation for one of our hotels, the credit/debit card account number you provide has sufficient funds available to be used as a guarantee. Dear Steven, Please accept our apologies that we were unable to accommodate you on 30th January as originally booked .As explained due to reservations error, . we were unable to accommodate numerous guests on this evening, all of which, except the offer of alternative accommodation .We notified you as soon as we became aware of the matter and offered for you to transfer to our sister Hotel, which is a four silver star 2 AA Rosette awarded property only 13 miles from Marlow and not one hour as you suggest We had also offered to upgrade you to an executive room at the new hotel and to provide you a complementary breakfast and transfers which you declined. It’s unfortunate that you did not recognise the magic of our hotel, and in particular, the stunning landscape grounds set on a private lake. Our Night management team do indeed patrol the corridors once an hour to make sure that all guests are relaxing and enjoying a comfortable night sleep.
