"The Lodge was so surprising. Being on the Cathedral grounds, it evokes a sense of tranquility and calm. That feeling does not extend past the walls of the ground. The breakfasts were amazing. The staff was most accommodating. Everything was within the radius of the Lodge and walking to places was easy. The only thing that disappointed was that the standard double room has a tiny bed which was caused a snug bed-share challenge. It worked out. We're glad we chose that accommodation."

My beef was in the lighting and the glass entry to the bathroom, which is very problematic at night when the lights are off. In order to see where you are going a light needs to be on and the light above the closet and under the step were too bright to be left on. So if you do not want to wake your partner it needs to be on or you need to get to the room door to put on the bathroom light. One...

Extremely hot with no air, only had a small fan, windows didn’t open very far, I understand our stay was in the heatwave but the heat in the room was unbearable, couldn’t sleep, there wasn’t any ventilation at all. "This was a beautiful small hotel, 8 rooms over a pub in the centre of town. Each room is different but mine (room 5) was amazing. Large bedroom and a spa line bathroom with a tub that would be perfect for wine and a bubble bath and a separate rainfall shower. Breakfast was included with a good sized menu.
