"The room we had was great. It was spacious and the tall ceilings made it feel even more spacious. The elevator needed some repairs because most of the handrails were falling off. Depending on what kind of experience you want, this location was located near a few bars with people enjoying themselves."

"This was a very unique hotel. Before 2016, it was an AME church. It's on the National Register of Historic Places and had played a role in the civil rights movement. Speakers like Booker T. Washington and W.E.B. Du Bois spoke there. A management group bought it in 2016, added on to it to turn it into a hotel, but kept the existing property. Staff was friendly, rooms were nice, it's well located, and has on-site parking, although expensive. I would definitely stay there again."

"Many issues with our stay: 1. Room key did not work at the garage (had to contact help to be manually let in), 2. Shower floor was extremely slippery (the sticky safety mat didn’t even stick), 3. Housekeeping knocked repeatedly at 8 am waking us up (we had a one-night reservation and had not checked out), 4. They ran out of food and coffee (other hotel guests said this happened the day before as well), 5. LOTS of road noise (and this was a Sunday night stay), 6. They charged us a fee of $52 for...

"Hotel is very run down. Sofa bed had a decretive sham that was torn... they repaired it buy a using a regular paper stapler ..staples came undone when pulling out bed and putting it back in. Outlets buy the king bed didnt work. Fire detector was coming off the wall. Closet door kept opening wouldnt stay shut. Over all. I will try to find another hotel in area hotel just not worth the high end price they want to charge ."
