"Beware of price gouging. We booked a non-refundable one night room six months in advance to coincide with a cruise out of Vancouver for an extremely high price. They only offer non-refundable reservations. I checked the price a week before our arrival and the price was less than half the original cost. The hotel certainly has the right to do that, and I will exercise my right to NEVER stay at one of their properties again."

"This is a room in a family home. The family was wonderfully helpful, but this was not what we were expecting and so didn’t stay the entire time. However, the host was wonderful about refunding our 2nd night when he didn’t have to do so. Very clean and in a safe neighborhood."

"Expedia acts as an email intermediary between the guest and the user, and if their application doesn't work properly, you have major problems because the guest can't contact you, nor can you contact them. It was a challenge, but we were able to solve it without Expedia."

My 2nd message from Carey Lodge which likely contained my door code and some entrance instructions would not open so I had a bit of a hard time figuring it all out while exhausted and in a lot of pain. Expedia thankfully supplied the door code. I arrived 5 minutes after reception closed. Once to my room I.realized it had not been cleaned. "The location is very convenient and easy to access. The room is clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I would recommend it to other travelers."

"Lovely hotel, well staffed and featured free valet parking and snacks in the room We loved the saltwater pool, and the gym was clean and well equipped. The location overall is good but it is in a slightly awkward location due to the road configuration in the area. You do need a car although it's close to 2 skytrain stations, it's not in a fun walking neighbourhood."

"Very personalized service. The hotel manager texted me 5 mins after we got into our room to ask if the room was ok and if we needed anything else. Nice touch. Breakfast was good Location right by a major rail line, so it was easy to get on and see the waterfront and other areas"

"The room was clean but the rest of the house was a bit of a mess. The fridge had food left in it and the garbage was foul smelling. There was dust on the fixtures, hair on the bathroom walls and the TV appears to be broken. The house had a general feeling of emptiness and being unloved. I only stayed one night of my stay and got a hotel the next morning."
