Very clean, good breakfast and extremely nice and accommodating staff, especially the restaurant (one or two of the front desk clerks weren’t the most friendly- not rude just seemed like I was annoying them if I asked a question- maybe I was lol, but overall I still give 5 stars. "Hotel very modern, centrally located, close to many great bars and restaurants. Reception was well manned and happy friendly staff welcomed me on my arrival. Lift to my fifth floor room was securitly controlled by room key. Lovely well decorated room with great shower and views of surounding Christmas decorated streets. "Melrose Place Boutique is a jewel in the heart of Johannesburg. A small hotel (35 rooms) in a pretty residential neighborhood. Surrounded by lush vegetation and a small but beautiful swimming pool, it is both cozy and relaxing to sit on your patio and enjoy the view and quiet. "Exceptional Boutique Hotel with period furniture, rich paintings, large rooms, excellent decor, well maintained small hotel. The building is a Heritage building converted from an old telephone exchange and post office. Location is on Oxford Road, next to Metro station, and is close to Rosebank Mall - they provide Golf cart service. Safe location. Staff is excellent and responsive and friendly.
