"I loved everything about this hotel. After speaking with Tamsyn for several months, she (and the rest of the staff!) made sure my visit was exactly how I wanted. The food was spectacular. The staff were all very polite and attentive, I interacted with security, reception, restaurant and cleaning staff and all were exceptionally helpful. I appreciated the hotel preparing a packed breakfast for a safari trip starting early before the breakfast buffet was opened. "The staff was most helpful and wonderful. Special Kudos to Nancy and Matt. I was not there but one night due to the schedule changes from the airlines due to the illegal war on Iran from our idiot, felon president. However, my only surprise was the mold and mildew in the shower. It looks like the shower was never fully sprayed or scrubbed down and that was a bit gross. I would book this property again."

The hotel has a unique character that goes beyond its infrastructure and decor, it goes all the way through the astonishing training of its staff. The people at the African pride is by far the best I’ve experienced at the Marriott network at a global level. We’re definitely will become regulars while in town and highly recommend to anyone travelling to Johannesburg."
