"Great place to break the journey to cornwall"

"A lovely thatched roof pub with sitting out area. The lady was so lovely and welcoming we can’t remember her name but she lived right by the pub. The room was lovely, a nice comfortable bed, lovely pillows and lovely and clean. The lady who was cleaning the rooms was on her own that day and we asked if we could check in early the day before. She worked wonders our rooms was spotless. We had a lovely stay with a great breakfast. Will definitely go back. We had three rooms and "

"Its an old thatched pub and the room shape and conditions reflect that - sloping floors and wonky walls but the bedding , towels etc were clean and fresh. Rooms are above the bar so not quiet until the pub closes. Pub downstairs is friendly and has a good atmosphere with plenty of choice behind the bar. They serve food but I didn't try any so can't comment on that. Reasonably large attached car park although theres no covered area or anything to chain a motorcycle to."

"Very friendly, helpful staff. Had an excellent breakfast and, although I didn't eat in the evening, the menu looked very appealing. Good atmosphere in the bar and generous supply of tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. All in all a positive experience."

"The sash window was held up with two bits of wood when we entered the room, although cold outside, once closed we knew the reason why, the room had the most horrendous smell even worse in the bathroom. I had to buy 2 air fresheners, but they didn’t help. Furniture stained, crockery chipped and no spoon for making tea/coffee. No breakfast as the kitchen is closed. "I had a wonderful one night stay at the Coach Inn while passing through. The facilities at the inn are great and I would thoroughly recommend it. One comment for consideration the bedroom window was screwed shut in my room no 9, the room gets full sun making it hot with no air so it would be a major benefit to be able to open it for some fresh air, my suggestion would be to fit some stops instead of it being screwed shut so it could open say 8" or so. "Staff efficient but robotic and lacked empathy. Bedroom tired and the lighting was inadequate when applying make-up. Dim lights might be romantic but a dressing table with a proper lamp so you can see what you look like is essential! Hot water in bathroom basin very slow in coming through and the toilet seat is misaligned "

"Loved the ‘Olde Worlde’ charm and history of the Inn, The only minor fault was that there were no leaflets of surrounding places of interest to visit. However we would would highly recommend This property. Thank you."
