"We needed an overnight stop near Lewes, this being a mile or so north. "Our stay at the Mount Edgcumbe was genuinely exceptional. My wife wasn’t feeling well during our visit, and the manager and staff showed such warmth and care — nothing was ever too much trouble. "Clarissa, the new manager of the property, made our stay fun and easy! Our room even had its own patio! She sorted out dinner reservations and transportation so that our stay was flawless. "A lovely room and a magnificent garden. Dee the host was a delight. For those who like a couple of pints with their evening meal the local pub is within easy walking distance and they have a lovely menu, a wide range of decent beers and friendly efficient staff. Intend to stay again sometime in the not too distant future."

"We booked to stay for 2 nights to attend a wedding. The chalet was clean and had everything we needed. We needed to arrive quite late and this was accomodated really well. The only downside was that the chalet was really warm, but we enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again if we revisit the area."
