"While traveling, we received a call that staff didn't have the king room available that we had booked, instead asking if we would take a queen. May asked us to call back. However, no matter how many times we tried, no one answered front desk. Corporate was no help to us. Orbiz/Expedia said that cancelling would forfiet our money. When we arrived we were given the queen and two goodie bags, each containing a bottle of water and a bag of Skinny Pop. No refund or adjustment to the room rate we had paid. There was no hair dyer (guests must check them out), only a tiny bar of soap and one tiny container of shampoo, no hand towels, and the TV didn't work (an employee did fix that), The floor was tacky in areas. Maid was knocking on our door before check out time the next morning. Will never stay here again or recommend it. It was so frustrating for two weary travelers. "
"The room was clean though the common areas were a bit shabby. There was a group with a lot of high schoolers there and they were very loud, both in the lobby and the halls. The room smelled a bit musty, but after a while I didn’t notice it as much (not sure if that was because I cranked the air conditioning or that I got used to it). The bed had a definite dent in the mattress and I had to shift my position to get comfortable. Not a great stay, but adequate for my purposes "
"I booked 3 rooms so that my family would be together. We were on different floors! One room smelled like carpet glue. We were not aware that the property was undergoing major renovations. I chose to pay at property but when we checked out we were told it was paid in full since my parents and in laws were in 2/3 of the rooms and were going to pay for theirs at the hotel. They could not provide a receipt because we booked through Expedia. When I looked on my Expedia account, it said since I was paying at the hotel, a receipt would be provided at the hotel. It was not. I am waiting to see if my credit card will be charged for all 3 rooms or one. I’ve never had this issue before. Overpriced for quality of stay while under renovation. "
"The bed wasn't the most comfortable but everything was clean and in good repair. Breakfast was good. Dining area is a good size, clean, well stocked. Staff are friendly and helpful. It was also quiet. "

What are holiday rentals like in Midtown?
Holiday rentals are privately owned properties you can book for a few days, or a quick weekend, in Midtown. Holiday rentals offer amenities like kitchens and laundry facilities so you'll feel right at home. If you're concerned about a sanitised environment, a holiday rental can offer a sense of privacy away from public hotel lifts and busy reception areas while still allowing you a great travel experience. You'll also find more space in a holiday rental than in a traditional hotel, which is another reason why a holiday rental is a popular option for a small group gathering.
